Dafna Kron is a contemporary theatre and performance artist, and a curator of art and performance events and festivals. Her projects are based on Site Specific research, focused on participation: A shared experience that explores the relationships between participants, space and the work of art.
Since 2011 she has worked with The Jerusalem Season of Culture - an internationally renowned non profit art organization as the artistic director of a leading festival of the organization: the In House Festival.
Additional curatorial work by Kron: The main event for LOVING ART/MAKING ART- the annual municipal art project in Tel Aviv; Getting Lost- a sound event in The Israeli Center for Digital Art; The Pavilion for JDW - Jerusalem Design Week, Knock Knock, Confessions (Mekudeshet festival) . She is the director of many performances, among them- all performances by Eifo Dana Company - an artists collective initiated by Kron and friends in 2006 (the award winning company performed at various museums and festivals throughout the country). She is the Dramaturg for Mekudeshet Festival (JSOC), Body-Site project (Jerusalem Dance academy). Lector and Head of Theatre productions for acclaimed author David Grossman. Masters graduate in Performance Directing from Royal School of Speech and Drama, UK and Bachelors (Honors) in Social art and Theatre from the Tel-Aviv university.
Kron is a lecturer at several academic institutions in Israel - Haifa University, Seminar Hakibutzim, Musrara.
